Michael Geiger has practiced law since 1989.  He is admitted to practice law in TN, NY and NJ.  In representing clients, Michael draws on his years of trial work, large law firm experiences, and corporate in-house positions.  Michael brings vast “Big Law” expertise to a “small law” practice.  His law practice now focuses on small businesses, individuals and families where Michael can most directly help people.  In this setting, Michael offers dedicated, personal, efficient service for each client.

Michael appreciates that resolution of conflict is preferred to protracted and costly litigation and adverse proceedings. Accordingly, a significant portion of Michael’s practice remains dedicated to mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Since 2004, Michael has been listed by the TN Supreme Court as a Rule 31 Mediator. Michael serves on the Mediation Panel for the U.S. District Court, Western District of TN. Michael is a certified FINRA arbitrator and conducts FINRA mediations. Michael participates in the ADR sections of the ABA, TN and Memphis Bars. Michael has been mediating cases since the 1990s.

While amicable resolution is preferred, at times, litigation is unavoidable. Michael’s substantial litigation and trial experience serves clients well in trial courts, municipal courts and administrative hearings.
